Died, at his home near Greenleaf, two and a half miles southwest of Farmer City, on Thursday, February 4th 1897, at 3:30 o'clock p.m., John JOHNSON, aged 79 years, 2 months and 22 days. JONES, Clarence H.

 

WAYNESVILLE, October 21 – Clarence H Jones, Waynesville, died at 1 PM Sunday of heart disease. He had been ill for three years. He was the son of John M. And Catherine Jones and was born near McLean February 13, 1861. He married Nettie Richards October 4, 1886. Three children were born. They, with the wife, survive, and are: Mrs. Vesta nearing, Clinton; Ruby and Vernon at home. Three grandchildren also survive. Mr. Jones was a traveling salesman 25 years. He was a member of the prairie state Lodge, 104, I.O.O.F., and of Waynesville Methodist Episcopal Church. The funeral is to be held at 2:30 PM Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. J.P. JONES, Treva Joann

CLINTON — Trena Joann Jones, 53, of Clinton, Ill., passed away at 9:15 a.m. on December 7, 2013 at her residence. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, December 12 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Calvert's, Bill Vandervoort officiating. Interment will be at DeWitt Cemetery, DeWitt, Ill. Memorials may be made to a food pantry or charity of the donor's choice. Trena was born on February 22, 1960, in Clinton, Ill., daughter of Delbert L. Jones and Reva Carter. Survivors include her mother Reva Jones, Clinton, Ill.; her father Delbert Jones, DeWitt, Ill.; brother Gary (Deana) Jones, Clinton, Ill.; sister Corina Shaw, Clinton, Ill.; two nephews, two great-nephews and one great-nephew on-the-way. Trena worked at State Farm Insurance Co for 33 years in the processing department. She enjoyed writing poems, crocheting, knitting and reading the Bible. Trena was a devoted Christian through the years. She loved the Lord and served Him daily. She was confined to home during the past few years. She was a wonderful daughter and sister who will be truly missed. [Source: Clinton Journal]
