The Craig Cemetery was laid out in lots in 1883. Lots sold for $2.50 Mrs. Blanche Cealock of Nokomis has the original plat. four lots were donated to Thomas Craig, and it is supposed that the Revolutionary soldier of that name is Buried there. He was first buried on a farm now owned by Henry Cook.

Lots started at the east side, northeast corner next to the fence. They were numbered 1-54 and then back in a second row 55-108, which takes you back to the starting line. Space is left for a road, and then the lots are numbered 136-162 and back 163-189, ending at the entrance. Many have not been sold. Also, many people were buried there before the plat was made. These were marked filled. We shall give those to whom lots were sold according to the plat book and those buried in the plot. Surname will not be repeated if the same. Refer to copy for dates.
