1870 census study
for Franklin County, IL

by Sheila Cadwalader

Here's a little study I did with the 1870 census for Franklin County, IL.

Most people on this list are enumerated as "Farmers". The exceptions are Richeson, Browning and Mooneyham who are listed as "Merchants"; Flanigan "Lawyer", WH Cook "Physician"; and the ladies are listed as "Keeping House".

The first column is value of real estate the second column is value of movable property.
