Thomas B. Atkinson, dentist, is a native of West Virginia, where
he was born April 3, 1838. Until his twenty-first year he resided
in Virginia and Ohio, where he received a liberal education.
During the war he proceeded to Pittsburg, Pa., and turned his attention
to his present profession. In 1864 he settled in Rushville and
subsequently went to Iowa. In 1867 he came at Astoria, and has
since been prominently identified with the interest of the town.
He has succeeded in building up a large practice. In 1861 he was
united in marriage with Miss E. J. Gambel, by whom he has 4 children, -
John, Charley, Mabel and Ada.
