Samuel Baughman, sec. 18; P. O., Table Grove; was educated in
the common schools here. In August, 1862, he enlisted in Co. F, 103d I.
V. I., and honorably discharged July 7, 1865. He participated in twenty
battles, among which were the following: Mission Ridge, Kenesaw
Mountain, siege of Atlanta and many others. He was married Sept. 10,
1868, to Mary J. Carlin, by whom he has 3 children, - Wm. Perry, Mary
R. and Sarah E. They are very intelligent children, especially Mary R.,
who has great literary talent.
