Isaac Beaty, farmer, sec. 7; P. O., Marbletown. Levi Beaty, the
father of Isaac, was a native of Virginia and a farmer by occupation.
He married Miss Sarah Meredith and there was born to them a family of
14 children, 11 of whom grew to mature years. Isaac was born in
Newcastle township, Coshocton Co., O., in 1815, where he passed his
childhood, youth and grew to manhood. At the age of 20 he was married
to Esther Conner, daughter of Daniel Conner, of Virginia. They were
blessed with 9 children, 8 of whom are living, - Andrew J., Peter,
Robert L., Hiram, Daniel, Sarah J., Lydia and Isaac L., who resides on
the old homestead and is one of the enterprising young men of the
township. In 1851 Mr. B. came to Fulton Co. and settled in Kerton tp.
on the property he now owns, and has since kept pace with the advance
of the county.
