Benjamin F. Bowman, liveryman. Mr. B. has for many years
been engaged in this calling and has met with success. Although
comparatively a stranger in Astoria, he has proven his enterprising
spirit to the people. He came to Astoria in the autumn of last
year and refitted the old City Hotel, and secured a good
patronage. This he recently abandoned. He contemplates
erecting a large modernly fitted hotel here. In Aug. 1877, he was
united in marrige to Miss Mary Moon, a daughter of Asa Moon, of Dallas
City, Ill.
