Francis A. Cooper, deceased, was born in Pa.; when young, his
parents emigrated with him to Ohio, where he grew to manhood and
followed farming; in 1859 he moved to this township, where in after
years he purchased 80 acres of valuable land. December, 1862, he
married Miss Angeline Potter, by whom he had 2 children, - Wm. S. and
Francis A. Mr. C. was Township Clerk at one time, taught school some,
and died in 1866.
