R. L. Craigo, farmer and stock-raiser, sec. 23; P. O., Astoria;
was born in Tuscarawas Co., O., in 1849. His father, David
Craigo, was a native of Green Co., Pa., and was a farmer; he married
Miss Larina Dane Simpson, who bore him 9 children, 7 of whom are now
living. About 1845 David Craigo emigrated to Ohio, where he
passed the remainder of his life, and where our subject attained his
majority. Nine years ago he came to Astoria tp., where he has
since acquired a valuable farm property of 111 acres. In 1876 he
was united in marriage to Miss Carrie S. Sharpe, daughter of Jacob
Sharpe, a native of New York State.
