Jane Elliott, relict of Ellison Elliott, was born in New York
State in 1811, moved to Ohio in an early day, where she was married to
Ellison Elliot. 7 children born of this marriage, - Elisha, Jasper,
Isaac P., Wm. A., Geo. W., James B. and Chas. H. George, the only one
living, resides on the homestead. Mrs. Elliott’s maiden name was
Vanderbilt. Three sons of Mrs. E. entered the service, all of whom gave
up their lives in the war for the Union.
