Samuel Heath, farmer and stock-raiser, sec. 21; P. O.,
Astoria. The above-named gentleman ranks among the good farmers
of this township. He was born in Alleghany Co., Pa., Dec. 19,
1832. At an early day his parents emigrated to Ohio, where our
subject grew to manhood. In 1855 he ventured further west,
locating in Astoria township, where he has since followed agricultural
pursuits. He joined hands in holy wedlock with Miss Mary Landis
in 1862. Five of the 8 children she has borne are living.
Their names are, Alta M., Mary F., Wm. H., Frank E. and Ralph A.
