subject of this sketch is a son of John David and Minerva J. Hughes,
and married Miss Mary Bloomfield, daughter of John Bloomfield, and
their children are Ira, Oscar and Rolla. John Hughes first married
Betsy Cooper, by whom he had 7 children; by his second wife, Minerva
J., he had 6 children.
