Calvin McKinley was born in Bond county, Ill., in 1829; his
father, John McKinley, was a native of Ohio; Calvin accompanied his
parents to Fulton county in a very early day and settled in Woodland
township, where he grew up amid pioneer associations; in 1847, he
married Miss Mahala C. Kerran, a daughter of Benjamin Kerran, by whom
he has 9 children, - John, Nancy, Henry, Chas., Joseph, Rebecca,
Cordelia, Mahala and Freddie. Mr. McK. is the owner of 150 acres of
land.
