Alonzo Palmer is a native of the Old Dominion State; was born in 1839.
He was in his fifteenth year when his parents concluded to make
Illinois their home. In Fulton Co. he grew to manhood, receiving a
liberal education; in 1861 he was united in marriage to Miss Nancy J.
McLaren, a daughter of Wm. McLaren. They have 7 children: Isidora,
Rachel A., John W., Lillian, Ashley, Charles and Nellie.
