Andrew Rock, farmer, sec. 31, was born in Franklin Co.,
Pa., Aug. 20, 1816, and is the son of Thomas and Elizabeth (Dull) Rock.
The former was of Scottish descent, and the latter of German descent
and a native of Pennsylvania. Andrew came to Canton, this county, in
1851 and engaged in carpentering, at which trade he has worked for many
years. He then moved upon his farm and has improved it all himself. He
was married to Susanna Monn in 1839, who bore him 12 children - 4 boys
and 8 girls - 11 of whom are living.
