Elizabeth Sterling was born in Ohio in 1818, the daughter of
Henry and Caroline Bolender, both deceased. She came with her father by
the rivers, in 1839, to this county, landing at the mouth of Spoon
river. She was married to Mr. Sterling in 1843; they had 6 children, of
whom 5 are living. Sec. 27, Isabel tp., P. O., Duncan’s Mills.
