Mr. V. was born in Virginia Oct. 2, ’37; son of Joseph and Louisa
Vaughn; emigrated in 1840 to the place where he still resides. Has been
Road Commissioner two terms and School Director 7 years. In 1857, in
this State, he married Rebecca France, who was born in Illinois in
July, ’43, and they are the parents of 8 children, 6 now living, -
George M., Mary E., Amanda J., Lillie A. D., Elizabeth and Fanny;
deceased, - Sarah and Charley.
