W. D. Walker, farmer and small-fruit-grower, was born in 1830 in
Penn., in which State his father, S. B. W., was also born and pursued
the occupation of fuller. Mr. S. B. married Nancy Forsyth, and 6
children were born to them, Wm. D., the subject of this sketch, being
the fourth. Just before he was 21 he came afoot to LaSalle Co., Ill.,
but in a year returned to Ohio, and married Sarah Stover, daughter of
John and Sarah Stover, of Pa. In 1858 he emigrated to Vermont tp. He
has had 3 children, - Amos (died in infancy), Katy, who married Samuel
A. Walker, of McDonough Co., and resides at Table Grove.
