George Woods was born in Sullivan, N. Y., June 5, 1831, and is

They came in a two-horse wagon, and were on the road six weeks, and the

Salem Woods, came to McDonough Co., Ill., in 1831, and still lives on
the farm he first entered. The subject of this sketch, Mr. George
Woods, attended the first school in Union township. It was taught by a
Mr. Davis. He was married, Dec. 20, 1854, to Sarah A. Parkin, who is a
native of England, and was born July 4, 1832. They have 5 children, 1
boy and 4 girls. Mr. W. is engaged in farming. P. O., Avon.
