Before the days when instruments were used in church singing she would stand beside her father and start the songs for the church service. She sang in the church choir for many years and at a recent revival her voice could be heard from the congregational singing. When she grew to womanhood, with the help of others, she solicited funds and the first organ was bought for the church. She also helped organize the first W. M. S. for the Blooming Grove Church.
For the past three years she had been in failing health, but could always be seen at church services when it was at all possible for her to attend.
Her Christian example of living set a fine standard of living for her community.
Her husband, Douglas Daily, one son A. W. Daily and one daughter Myrtle Rawls preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing one son Frank Daily and one daughter Lurene Cullins, both of McLeansboro; two brothers Harry Echols of Dahlgren and Bert Echols of West Frankfort; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren; besides a host of other relatives and many friends.

Remember me with sunshine, laughter, joy, and song.
No tears please, for I’m with Jesus now, where I belong.
Although my stay here with you, was oh so brief,
Giving up my earthly form was such a relief.
Throughout my short life I’ve received so much,
Everyone’s love and tenderness in each soft touch.
As you remember me in the coming days,
Remember that I loved you all in very special ways.
I’m laughing with the angels now,
and I hope you will laugh too,
Because from here in God’s Kingdom,
the world is a beautiful view
