78 year old McLeansboro resident, Mrs. Elsie R. (Gholson) Auxier, died at 10:38 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22nd at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. (born Apr. 11, 1927)
Surviving are 3 sons, George Randel Auxier of Sarasota, Florida, William Robert Auxier of Traverse City, Michigan and Anthony Wayne Auxier of Benton, Il.; a daughter, Verna Sue Stallone of Sherman, Il.; 3 brothers, James Lee Gholson of Carmi, Charles Arthur Gholson of McLeansboro and Jerry Gholson of Evansville, Indiana; 3 sisters, Mrs. Annette Webb of McLeansboro, Mrs. Elizabeth Neal of Marion, Il. and Mrs. Sylvia Drosdahl of Las Vegas, Nevada; and 8 grandchildren.
Funeral services for Elsie R. Auxier were at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27th at Blooming Grove Baptist Church. Burial in Blooming Grove Cemetery near McLeansboro.
Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26th at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro, and from 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27th until the time of service at the Blooming Grove Baptist Church.

Born August 27 1872 Hamilton Co. IL. Died July 13, 1955 home in Belle Prairie daughter of Hiram (& Jennettie Hunter) Hall married Cap Aydt Nov. 1895 leaves 9 children Lawrence & John of Belle Prairie; Frank of Dahlgren; Regina Shuster of Dahlgren; Charles Aydt, Clarence Aydt and Anna Kirsch all of Piopolis; Christian Kaufaan of Fairfield & Paul Aydt of Piopolis; 4brothers Clarence, Laft, George and Robert Hall; 4 sisters Grace Allen, Annie Wheeler, May Coates, & Willie Johnson Interred Garrison Cemetery."
