Jennie Halley Maulding
Born September 11, 1889 Gibson Station, Oklahoma. Died October26, 1946 in McLeansboro. Daughter of T. J. and Ida Lane Halley. Married Emery R. Maulding, October 20, 1912. Leaves husband and one child Emery Lee Maulding; 1 daughter died in infancy; Mother Mrs. Ida Perry; step-father Rev. Hulbert Perry; sister Mrs. Alfred Simpson. Interred at Crouch Cemetery.

Mary A. Maulding
Mary Ann Maulding, daughter of Presley and Elizabeth (Echols) Maulding was born near Delafield, ILL OCT-1-1849 and departed this life at the home of her son, Joseph E. Rawls in McLeansboro NOV-15-1930 In the year 1873 she was united in marriage with George Rawls. They settled in the community known as Burnt Hill in Dahlgren Township, where these two hardy people spent practically their entire life. Her husband departed this life NOV-15-1921, exactly nine years before her. To the above were born 4 children; Emily, who died in infancy; Anna, died at the age of 20; J.E. Rawls; and J.P. Rawls both survive. She professed her faith in Christ at a very early age and united with Blooming Grove Baptist Church where she remained a member these many years. She was a devoted mother, a true companion, and a good Christian. She has left to her sons the inheritance of a strong character which is to be highly appreciated. She also leaves many relatives and friends who mourn her going. Funeral services were held at Blooming Grove Church NOV-16-1930. Eld. J.H. Aleen assisted by Eld. John B. and C.W. Maulding. The Blooming Grove choir rendered beautiful music also the McLeansboro Quartet which was much appreciated by the family. Interment was in the Blooming Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Presley Maulding

Mrs. Presley Maulding who lived near Delafield for nearly 50 years died at her residence at 1:30 am on Wednesday of this week at the age of about 70 ys. (b. Aug. 16, 1826, Tennessee; d. Aug. 22, 1901)

About 2 years ago Mrs. Maulding had the misfortune to have her thigh broken and since has never been able to go about much. A few days ago she was taken with pneumonia fever which caused her death.

The deceased was a member of Blooming Grove Baptist Church and interment was in the church cemetery

Presley Maulding

Presley Maulding was born in Hamilton County Oct. 28 1824 where he spent all of his long and faithful life

He was married to Elizabeth Echols in 1843 and lived with her 56 ys. To this union 5 children were born; Mary Ann [OCT 1 1849], William Matthew [MAR 8 1852- JAN 16 1898], Lavina Emily [1856], Louisa, Julia E. [1863], & Baily P.

He professed his hope in Jesus many years ago and was baptized into the fellowship of Blooming Grove Baptist Church by Eld. C. Allen. He was later ordained deacon and was always faithful and true. He always stood by his pastor. He fell asleep at the home of his son in law, George Rawls, Wednesday morning at 9 AM (JAN 15 1913) aged 88 years 2 months and 17 days.

He leaves to mourn 2 daughters, 11 grandchildren ( 6 of whom were pallbearers ) 6 great grandchildren, 3 Brothers, 2 Sisters and a large circle of Family and Friends.

Silas Edgar Maulding
Born November 1867 Hamilton Co. died April 24, 1941 in home in McLeansboro son of George and Mary (Ann Johnson from Hamilton Co. married #2398 October 16, 1864) Maulding. Married Mary Louella Simpson November 1, 1888. 10 children; Emory, Roy, Mrs. J. A. Aydt, Mrs. Carey Perry, Mrs. Ernest Harper & George Maulding all of McLeansboro; Mrs. Oscar Sapp and John E. Maulding both of St. Louis; Mrs. Lewis Karcher of Chester, and Mrs. Willie Gullic of Hobart Indiana. Interred at Crouch Cemetery, near Belle Prairie.

Born 13 Oct 1885 Hamilton Co. IL; died in home in Dahlgren 6 July 1951, daughter of Louis and Sarah Myers Millenbine. Married Thomas McBride 5 March 1904 at Belle Prairie. Leaves Husband; son; Ralph McBride of Mt. Vernon; 4 brothers; Bill, George, Eddall of Belle Prairie; Harry Millenbine of Dale; 2 sisters Mrs. Rella Coy of Belle Prairie and Ossie Millenbine of BellePrairie; 4 grandchildren; Melvin, Delbert, Roberta and Beverly McBride. Interred at Crouch Cemetery.

Elizabeth J. Miller
MRS. ELIZABETH J. MILLER, 69, resident of East St. Louis, died at her home Sunday afternoon, and the body was taken to the home of James Lane, a brother residing two miles south of Wayne City. Funeral services will be held at the Baptist church at Bell City Thursday morning, with burial at Crouch Cemetery.

Allie W. Myers
Allie Willis Myers, 90 (b. Aug. 14, 1911, Thackeray, IL) of McLeansboro, died Sunday Afternoon, June 30th 2003 at the Hamilton Memorial Nursing Home. He was a member and deacon at the Blooming Grove Missionary Baptist Church near McLeansboro. Survivors included his wife, Imogene, 3 children; Larry(Ruth) of McLeansboro, Judy(Ron) Thomas of McLeansboro, and David(Dina) of St. Louis Mo.;One brother, Kenneth(Eula) of McLeansboro; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation services were held from 4-8 July 2nd at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro and Funeral was at 11 am July 3rd at the Blooming Grove Missionary Baptist Church near McLeansboro. Interment was in the church cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Oma Myers; sisters, Ethel Myers & Inez Nation; brothers, Willard and Cecil; and one son, R. Dean Myers

Dean Myers
Dean Myers, 63, of McLeansboro, died at 3:48 p.m. on Sunday, March 12, 2000, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon after a short battle with leukemia.
He was a farmer and an auctioneer and retired after 35 years as a rural mail carrier. He was born March 4, 1937 in Hamilton County, a son of Allie and Imogene Myers. They survived. He was a member of the Blooming Grove Baptist Church near McLeansboro where he professed in faith in Christ at age 12. He was also a member of Illinois Auctioneer's Association and Hamilton County Ageless Iron Tractor Club.
Surviving are his parents, Allie and Imogene Myers of McLeansboro, two daughters, Mary Kathlene Floyd and Constance Lee Nalley, both of McLeansboro; a sister, Judy Thomas of McLeansboro; two brothers, Larry of McLeansboro and David of Baldwin, Missouri; three step-grandson; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2000 at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Rev. Robert Sefried officiated. Visitation was from 4-8 March 14th at the Funeral Home. Burial was in Blooming Grove Cemetery near McLeansboro.

Elsie E. Myers
Elsie E. Myers, 84, of McLeansboro, died at 10:25 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 1998, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She was a housewife.
She was born on January 3, 1914, a daughter of Thomas Arch and Mary Emma (Braden) Warren. On December 24, 1934, she married Cecil "Pete" Myers, who preceded her in death in 1971. She was a member of Blooming Grove Baptist Church, a member of Hamilton County Home Extension, Hamilton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the VFW Ladies Auxilary #1671 in McLeansboro.
The funeral was at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 25, 1998, at Blooming Grove Baptist Church near McLeansboro. The Rev. John Lee Jr. and Rev. Gary Davenport officiated. Burial was in Blooming Grove Cemetery near McLeansboro. Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Myers is survived by two sons, Wendell Myers and wife Judith of McLeansboro and Dennis Myers and wife Betty of Harrisburg; four grandchildren, Dr. Teresa Myers and Murphysboro, Richard and Michael Myers, both of Harrisburg, Brenda Endicott of McLeansboro; two brothers, Don Warren of Mena, Arkansas, Max Warren of McLeansboro; two sisters, Edith Meagher of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Helen Ruth Johnson of McLeansboro; two great-grandchildren, Maci and Derek Endicott; one step-grandchild, Jayne Ballantyne.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one infant sister.

Eula Myers
Mrs. Eula Myers, 88, of McLeansboro died at 4 p.m. Friday (Jul. 30, 2004) at Hamilton Memorial Nursing Center in McLeansboro. She was a homemaker and housewife. She was born in (Belle Prairie City) Hamilton County on Feb. 5, 1916, to William and Maude (O’Neal) Millenbine. She married Kenneth Myers on Jan. 6. 1940 and had 64 years of marriage. He survives in McLeansboro.
Funeral services were 1pm Monday at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Rev. Ken Cook and Rev. Robert Sefried will officiate. Visitation were from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Gholson Funeral Home. Burial was in Blooming Grove Cemetery near McLeansboro.
Survivors include; grandchildren, Andy and wife, Jamie Ellis of Shilo, Jody and wife, Amanda Ellis of McLeansboro, Mrs. Jerrie Nice of McLeansboro, Mrs. Terrie and husband, Rod Irvin of McLeansboro, Mrs. Christie and husband, Jeff Stover of Mt. Vernon; sisters, Mrs. Irma Hook of Dahlgren, Mrs. Betty Henson of McLeansboro,and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Darlene Ellis and by one brother, Ray Millenbine.

John Andrew Myers
[Aug. 8, 1875 -- Oct. 30, 1958]
Son of Jacob P. and Sarah M. Myers, who are buried at New Hope. Was the youngest of 11 children. He married Oma Smithpeters on November 14, 1897. Father of Cecil ("Pete"), Kenneth, Allie Myers, Inez Nation, Willard, and Ethel Myers. When he passed away, he Was the oldest living Member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where he and his wife professed their faith in Christ in 1902. Willard and Ethel are buried at New Hope and the rest of his children are buried at Blooming Grove

Kenneth Carl Myers
Sep. 3, 1917, Thackeray -- May 9, 2005
87 year old McLeansboro resident, Kenneth Carl Myers, died at 6:25 p.m. Sunday, May 8th at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. Along with his brothers, he owned and operated Myers Lime Company until his retirement. He was a long time member of McLeansboro First General Baptist Church.
Survivors include six grandchildren; Andy Ellis of Shilo, Il., Jody Ellis, Jerri Nice and Terrie Irvin of McLeansboro and Christie Stover of Abilene, Kansas, ten great-grandchildren, and four sisters-in-law, Erma Hook of Dahlgren, Betty Henson, Delilah Millenbine and Imogene Myers, all of McLeansboro.
Funeral services for Kenneth C. Myers were 11 a.m. Thursday, May 12, at the McLeansboro First General Baptist Church with burial in Blooming Grove Cemetery near McLeansboro. Visitation was from 6 til 9 Wednesday evening, May 11 at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro and then 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the church. The Gholson Funeral Home of McLeansboro is in charge of all the arrangements.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew "Andy" & Oma Myers, 3 brothers Cecil "Pete" Myers, Willie Myers, and Allie W. Myers ; and 2 sisters, Inez Nation & Ethel Myers

Oma Smithpeters Myers
Daughter of William and Clarinda Smithpeters. Wife of John Andrew Myers mother of Cecil, Inez, Allie, Kenneth, Ethel, and Willard. She married John Andrew "Andy" Myers on November 14 1897. She and her husband professed their faith in Christ in 1902 at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, southeast of Thackeray. She was the oldest living member when she passed away.
