Carolyn
Henson Burk, 53, Omaha, NE, (formerly of
Overland Park, KS) passed away Monday, December
9, 1996, at her home.
Funeral
services will be 4 p.m. Thursday, December 12,
at D. W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel,
11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS., burial in the
family cemetery in Elizabethtown, IL. Friends
may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, at the Johnson
County Chapel.

Lawrence, KS, 66044.
Carolyn
was born June 21, 1943, in Hardin County, IL,
one of nine children born to John and Carmen
Henson. She honored her mother and father in all
she did.
Carolyn
attended school through high school in
Elizabethtown and Rosiclare, IL. She met her
husband, Paul Burk, in southern California, and
was wed on August 10, 1962.
Their
oldest daughter was born in West Covina, CA.
They
moved to Titusville, FL, in 1966, where their
second daughter was born. In 1969, they came to
Overland Park, KS, where their third daughter
and twins were born.
They
lived in Overland Park for 22 years, until 1991.
Carolyn
received a B.A. in Pre-Law with honors from
Avila College in 1980. She worked with Perry-Hamill
law firm in Overland Park, RJ Lloyd in Boise,
ID, and Abrahams, Kaslow and Cassman in Omaha,
NE.
Carolyn
loved Jesus Christ and shared her testimony of
faith with everyone she met. Her family was her
greatest joy. She is survived by her husband,
Paul Burk, of the home; her children, Kathryn
Grace Burk Biggs and Ken Biggs, of Fresno, CA,
Connie Burk of Lawrence, KS, Karen Burk-Caffey
and Robert Caffey, of Manhattan, KS, Justin
Burk, of Lawrence, KS, and Janette Burk, of
Kansas City, MO.
She is
also survived by her beloved grandchildren,
Carmen Caffey, Abigail and Anna Kathryn Biggs,
and Breanne Burk.
Also
surviving are her sisters, Norma Lee Moreno, of
Las Vegas, NV, Phyllis Patton, of Reno, NV, Joan
Frailey, of Earp, CA, Janice Miller, of Reno,
NV, and Marta Kelsay, of Fresno, CA; and her
brother, Roy Henson, of Hardin County, IL. She
is also survived by her spiritual mother, Mercer
''Mom'' Curry, of McKeesport, PA.
Carolyn
is survived by many, many wonderful friends and
family, including her beloved friends, Wanda and
Delmar Collins.
