Deon Barnard

Services for James Deon Barnard, 58, of Elizabethtown were held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at Cox Funeral Home with the Rev. Arthur Austin Jr. and Rev. Daniel Brands officiating.  Burial was in the IOOF Empire Cemetery in Elizabethtown.

Mr. Barnard died at 12:20 a.m. Sunday, June 25, 2006 at Hardin County General Hospital.

He was a member of the First Christian Church of Cave In Rock.

Surviving are his wife, Janet Rose Barnard; his parents, James Weldon and Norma Holbrook Barnard of Cave In Rock; one son, Travis Vaughn of Elizabethtown; three daughters, Lora Dunstan of Evansville, IN, Gina Shaffer of Rosiclare, and Samantha Winters of Elizabethtown; two brothers, Larry Barnard of Cave In Rock and Dennis Barnard of Elizabethtown; and three grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hardin County General Hospital or the Hardin County Ambulance Service, both of Rosiclare.
