Evanell Brent

Evanell Brent, 83, of rural Stonefort, IL. died Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Rosiclare Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.  She was the daughter of Rev. Moses and Maude (Stallions) Lay of Pope County.

Survivors include a daughter, Evelyn (Billy) Bailey of Vienna; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Floetta (. J. C.) Barger of Harrisburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry Brent; a son, Dale Brent; three brothers, Eugene Lay, Joe Lay and Van Lay; and several half brothers and half sisters.

Evanell was a member of Cedar Grove Social Brethren Church.  She was a home-maker and formerly served as secretary of the Boulden Cemetery Association.

Services were held Tuesday at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville officiated by Rev. John Bailey.

Burial was in Boulden Cemetery near Eddyville.
