Cooper Crenshaw
Mr.
Harry Cooper Crenshaw, 85, of Madisonville,
KY, died at 7:25 P.M. Wednesday, April 30,
2008, at his home.
Born
April 8, 1923 in Rosiclare, IL to Ben and Inda
Stacey Crenshaw. He was preceded in death by
his parents, his first wife, Margie Evelyn
Carter Crenshaw in 1994 after they had been
married for 55 years, and one daughter, Joanne
Crenshaw.
Mr.
Crenshaw was a member of the Greater
Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. He was a
retired Coal miner with Island Creek Coal
Company, a member of the U.M.W.A. Local and a
retired automobile mechanic.
Surviving
are his wife, Gloria Jean Crenshaw; one
daughter, Betty Crenshaw Poole of
Madisonville; one stepdaughter, Debbie Brasher
of Madisonville; one sister, Grace Morgan of
Madisonville; four brothers, John Crenshaw of
Madisonville, William Robert Crenshaw of Ft.
Worth, TX, Ben Crenshaw of Henderson, KY and
James Armes of PA; three grandchildren, five
step grandchildren, four great grandchildren
and four step great grandchildren.
Funeral
services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 3,
2008, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with
Rev. Ronald Hendricks and Rev. Roger Fuller
officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem
Cemetery.
Pallbearers
will be David Poole, Roger Fuller, Jeff McVay,
Larry Rushing, Chet Fuller and Dewayne
Fulkerson.
Visitation
will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday
and after 9:00 A.M. Saturday.
