Ruth Chancey

Services for Ruth Chancey, 84, of Harrisburg, formerly of Elizabethtown, were held at 10:00 am Monday, February 12, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a member.  The Rev. Ignatius Okonkwo officiated.  Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Chancey died at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2007 at Harrisburg Medical Center.

Surviving are one daughter, Helen Ruth Hoffman of Arizona; three sisters, Opal Huffman of Gary, IN, Flora Nell Powell of Las Vegas, and Margaret Humm of Paducah; and two grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Alvin Chancey, and two brothers.  Her parents were Nicholas and Opal Reiner Hamp.

Hosick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
