Sarah Ann Hawkins

Sarah Ann Hawkins McTyre was born July 29, 1859 at Elizabethtown, Illinois, and died December 24, 1928 at Phoenix, Arizona.

She was married to Alfred McTyre October 16, 1899, and two children were born to this union; William A. McTyre and Mrs. Olley R. Usleaman, whoare both living. There is also one grandchild, Billy McTyre, all living in Phoenix, Arizona.

Mrs. McTyre and children left Elizabethtown in the fall of 1918 following the death of her husband in the spring of that year; going first to El Paso, TX., where she resided for four years, but was making her home with her daughter at Phoenix at the time of her death.

Funeral services were held from the A. L. Moore and sons Funeral Home, burial in Greenwood Memorial Park, Phoenix, Arizona, Friday December 28, 1928. The deceased had many friends in Hardin County where most of her life was spent, who sincerely regret the passing of this good and noble woman and who joins in extending sympathy to the bereaved children.
