Wallace
M. Hurford, 84, of State College, PA, formerly
of Montgomery, IL, passed away Saturday,
November 14, 1998 at Brookline Village-The
Fairways. He was born in Rosiclare, Illinois
on March 9, 1914.
Wallace
was a graduate of Rosiclare High School and
prior to his retirement he was a security
guard for Armour Dial Corp, Aurora, IL for 29
years.
He was
a member of the General Baptist Church,
Rosiclare, IL where he was a Deacon; a member
of State College VFW, Post #321; a former
member of Montgomery, IL VFW, Post #7452. He
served in WWII as a Technician 3rd class with
the US Army.
He is
survived by his sister, Virginia Pabst of
State College, PA, nieces, Patti Gordon of
State College, PA and Mary Knazavich of
Elmhurst, IL.
He was
preceded in death by his parents, William and
Ellen Wallace Hurford.
There
will be no visitation.
Graveside
services will be held Thursday, November 19,
1998 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at
1:00pm. The burial will be at Indiantown Gap
National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
