William
Philip Irby, 76, of Park City, IL. died
Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at his home.
He was
born June 9, 1930 in Rosiclare, IL, the son of
Arnold J. and Agnes L. Irby. In addition
to his parents, a son, Ty Arnold Irby and two
sisters, Toye Elizabeth Irby Chapin and Doris
Jeanine Irby Creamer preceded him in death.
Mr.
Irby was a U. S. Army veteran serving in Korea
from 1950 to 1953. He retired from
Abbott Labs in 1992.
Survivors
are wife, Ella M.; children, Gregory Scott
(Dorothy) Irby, Henderson, NV, Gary Cockril,
Mary (Joe) Thornton, Robert (Julie) Stoneking,
Richard (Candy) Stoneking, Traci Forde, all of
Park City; sisters, Betty Goolsby of
Rosiclare, Brenda (Clyde) Flynn of Cave In
Rock, Carlene (Don) Eggemeyer of Springfield;
brothers, James (Mary) Irby and Julian H.
(Shirley) Irby, all of Springfield; one aunt,
Wilmetta Irby Hawkins of Rosiclare; and many
grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services
were held Monday, August 14, 2006 at Marsh
Funeral Home of Gurnee. Burial was in
Highland Memorial Park in Libertyville, IL.
