Maxine Lamar Maxine Lamar, 77, of Carrier Mills, IL. died at home in the loving care of her family and Hospice at 3:20 p.m. on November 6, 2006. Maxine was born in Saline County to Ray and Estel (Turner) Garrison on April 24, 1929. She married Charles Lamar (formerly of Hardin County) on November 7, 1947, and they were married for 59 years. Charles preceded her in death on December 11, 2001. Maxine was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Carrier Mills. Surviving family members include six children: LaVonna Lamar of Harrisburg, IL.; Gary (Sue) Lamar of Port St. Lucie, FL.; Rebecca Danielsen of Citrus Heights, CA.; Chuck (Denise) Lamar of Harrisburg, IL.; Donna (Tom) Try of Libertyville, IL.; and Patty (Glenn) Larsen of Zion, IL.; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Bill Garrison, Noel Garrison; and five sisters: Coleta Wingo, Carolyn Peters, Ann McCormick, Opal Baird and Brenda Winters. In addition to her husband, Maxine was preceded in death by her brother Don Garrison and grandson, David Lamar. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 9, at the Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 10, at the funeral home, with burials in Coal Bank Springs Cemetery.
