Vernice Carmickle Marx, age 76, passed away
April 26, 1996 from a long illness.
Born
March 8, 1920 in Hardin County, Illinois,
daughter of Cornelius and Mae McPherson
Carmickle. Married Willard I. Sisco; later
divorced. Married Joe Murphy; later divorced.
Married Gerald Marx, later divorced.
Survived
by sons, Willard and Eugene Sisco, Las Vegas,
Nevada; daughter, Marie Sisco, West Valley
City, Utah. Born 3rd child out of a family of
13; brothers, Seba, Francis, and Tandy
Carmickle of Illinois; sister, Mary Schaeffer,
Kentucky; proud grandmother of 17,
great-grandmother of 25 and
great-great-grandmother of two. Preceded in
death by mother, father, daughter, Jean Sisco
James, five brothers and three sisters, two
grandsons, one granddaughter, one great- and
one great-great-granddaughter.
Esther,
a great woman of grace, with kindness and
love, one that will be missed dearly by all.
Funeral
services will be held Wednesday, 2 p.m. at
McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood
Road, where friends may call Tuesday, 6-8
p.m., and Wednesday one hour prior to
services. Entombment, Lake Hills Cemetery.
