Albert
Narve, Sr., 84, of Elizabethtown, Illinois
died Thursday, May 25, 2006 at St. John's
Hospital, Hospice Care Center in
Springfield. He had suffered from
cancer.
He
married Pauline Twitty November 19,
1942. She survives in Herrin, IL.
He is
also survived by a son and daughter-in-law,
Albert, Jr. and JoAnne Narve of Mt. Prospect;
three daughters and two son-in-laws, Grace and
Doug Augustine of Marquette Heights, Mary Ann
and Shawn Denney of Springfield and Virginia
Mabrey of Zeigler; 10 grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; two brothers, Henry Narve
of Zeigler and Levi Dal Santo of Addison; a
sister, Angelina Beltz of Mulkeytown and many
nieces and nephews.
His
parents, a son, John Henry Narve, a daughter,
Charlotte Kaye Narve, two brothers, William
Narve and Ernest Dal Santo and a sister, Irene
Clarich preceded him in death.
Mr.
Narve was a veteran of World War II. He
served in the Pacific Theatre with the Army
Corps of Engineers (H & S Company
1393rd). He was a life member of the
Disabled American Veterans and VFW Post 5508,
Ridgway, IL.
Funeral
services for Mr. Narve were held at 10:00
a.m., Monday, May 29, 2006 at Vantrease
Funeral Home in Zeigler, Reverend Shawn Denney
officiating. Burial was at East Lawn
Memorial Gardens in Energy, with graveside
military rites.
