Clifford
Pennell changed his address on December 10,
2004, at the age of 92, when Jesus called him
home. He went quietly and gently with
his family by his side at Hardin County
General Hospital, Rosiclare, IL. He was
born November 12, 1912 to Alex and Sarah
Pennell.
He
spent his entire life in Hardin County except
during World War II when he worked at the
shipyard in Evansville, IN. He loved to
hunt, garden and mow his lawn which he did
last summer.
Preceding
him in death were his wife, Edna; his only
son, Clifford, Jr.; and a daughter, Barbara
Fields.
Surviving
are three daughters, Pauline (Charles) Walker,
Paula (Daryl) Russell, Brenda (Mose) Frailey;
one sister, Mildred Meeks; six grandchildren;
eight great-grandchildren; one step
great-grandson, five
great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and
nephews.
He
retired from Ozark-Mahoning Mining Company and
was laid to rest at Rutherford Cemetery.
