Wanda Rankin

Services for Wanda Rankin, 75, of Golconda will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2006 (today) at First United Methodist Church with Kevin Richerson officiating.  Burial will be in Sulphur Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Rankin died at 11:50 p.m. Monday, May 29, 2006 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.

A native of Pope County, she reited as executive vice president at First National Bank where she worked almost 30 years.  Mrs. Rankin was a member of First United Methodist Church and served as financial secretary there.  She was a member of Golconda Rebekah Lodge No. 284 and was a Noble Grand in 1961.  Mrs. Rankin was treasurer for the Pope County Historical Society and Sulphur Springs Cemetery Association.  She also served on the board of Family Counseling Center.

Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Jake Rankin, formerly of Rosiclare; two daughters, Karen Rankin of Golconda and Tammy Binford of Nolensville, TN; two grandsons, Matthew Binford and Ross Binford, both of Nolensville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.  Her parents were Raymond and Jessie Conley King.
