Last Monday evening, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Schuck were shockingly surprised to find themselves celebrating their crystal wedding anniversary. Mrs. Schuck has long before warned her lady relatives that a surprise party at her expense would be damaging to future friendship, and "Jake" had threatened to ignore all friends in his will and endow an orphan asylum in case he got surprised. But the party organized and drilled by Mrs. Jas. Duncan paid no heed to threats, and the result was an evening most pleasantly spent by all concerned and a retraction on the part of the "surprised" of the threats made. A number of handsome and appropriate presents were made them.

The twenty-fifth anniversary of the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. I. N. Wilson, of this city, was pleasantly celebrated at their residence last Friday evening by a large number of Geneseo and Munson friends of theirs. They were among the early settlers of the county, and have ever held a high place in the esteem of their neighbors and acquaintances. This red-letter day in their lives was appropriately chosen as one in which to give a slight expression of the kindly feelings their friend entertained for them, and as such proved a most happy one for all concerned. A number of handsome presents significant of the silver wedding were given them, and no doubt they will be treasured for years and years to come. Mrs. I. D. Ruggels, "Squire" Steele, and a few others were instigators of the affair.

So astounded were they by this wholesale invasion of their peaceful home, that it took them some time to remember that it was the tenth anniversary of their marriage day. They have stacks and stacks of tin things now to remember their invaders by. A most enjoyable time was had by all.
