VanEMAN-BROWN - at the residence of the bride's parents in Kewanee, September 4, 1893. Mr. James Van Eman, of Dwight, and Miss Mary Brown.
There were only a few friends of the family present. Mr. Van Eman is a former resident of Kewanee, having been in business here some seven or eight years ago, but is now of Dwight, consequentially he is well known by many of our citizens; while the bride has many warm friends here who join with the INDEPENDENT in wishing them much joy, happiness and prospertity.
The wedding ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Parsons at 9 o'clock a.m. after which the happy couple were congratulated by the assembled friends and relatives. They were the recipients of many beautiful and costly presents.
Mr. and Mrs. VanEman took the noon train for Chicago, where they will spend a couple of weeks, then going to Dwight, where they will make their future home. [Kewanee, Il Daily Independentt, Friday Sept. 8, 1893]
