

Hooper is located just east of Beaverville and west of Morocco in Iroquois County.

1907 The new town on Walsh railroad north of Donovan and east of Beaverville, has been name " Hooper"
in comopliment to Judge Frank L. Hooper. While in partenership with Free P. Morris, the firm had considerable to
do with securing the right of way for t enew road and this is the company's recognition of Judge Hooper's services.
Mr. Morris would be in line for a similar compliment were it not for the fact that there is alrady a city in the
state named Morris.

Hooper elevator and general store was built by John Nelson in 1909, the only business along the John W. Walsh railroad.
