Miscellaneous Towns and Tidbits about the towns.
Town of Texas--
Texas was platted in 1836 . Courthright Mills was the PO. When the Peoria and Aquawka RR was built to the Indiana
State Line in 1858 the town faded away. There was a hotel or boarding house there and a mill or two . There is
a cemetery there still at this time called Old Texas Cemetery.
