Ethel Quick of Gilman dies Friday
Gilman- Mrs. Ethel V. Quick, 73, of Gilman, was dead on arrival at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Mrs. Quick was born December 11, 1902 in Onarga, the daughter of William and Jessie Albright Lytle who died when she was young. Mrs. Quick attended school in Piper City and married Floyd Qiuck. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Arla Mae Zieher of Paxton, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a sister, Iva Mott of Watseka, a foster brother Irsle Quick of Piper City. She was preceded in death by her parents, foster parents Mr. and Mrs. William Quick, a brother, and a foster brother. Mrs. Quick was a retired employee of Central Dress Company of Gilman and a member of Rebekaha Lodge. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Reilly Funeral Home in Gilman with Rev. Darrell Jonier officiating. Burial will be in Brenton Cemetery, Piper City. Visitation will be from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home where Rebekaha rites will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday.
