Grace L. Cover, 88, Indianapolis, formerly
of Carbondale, IL, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2007.
Born March 2, 1919, Grace graduated from
Carbondale High School, Class of 1938, and married John W.
Cover July 13, 1940. She worked for Southern Illinois
University as a printer estimator for 18 years, retiring in
1970. She was a member of University Baptist Church in
Carbondale and Order of the Eastern Star in Makanda, IL.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 22
from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Meredith Funeral Home, 300 S.
University Ave., Carbondale, with funeral services Monday at
Noon at University Baptist Church, 700 S. Oakland Avenue,
Carbondale.
Grace will be greatly missed by her loving
family and friends. Grace is survived by her beloved husband
of 67 years, John W. Cover; daughter, Barbara K. Rauch,
husband Fred; son, Jeff W. Cover, wife Donna; grandchildren,
Gina L. Maple, husband Court, Travis S. Cover, wife Megan;
great-grandchildren, Olivia R. and Emma K. Maple, and Joshua
D. Cover.
She was preceded in death by her daughter,
Ruth Ann Cover; sisters, Ruby Greer, Opal Hagler, Norma
Lockerby; and brother, Curtis Brandon.
