Rollie Lee
Hyde was born June 27, 1880 in Carbondale and died in
DuQuoin Hospital March 19, 1925 at 12:30 a.m. at the age of
44 years, 8 months and 21 days. His death was due to
injuries received in the tornado March 18.
He was the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hyde of DeSoto. He was
united in marriage April 26, 1907 to Miss Grace Woods of
DeSoto. To this union was born two children, Nellie
Hyde and Faye Hyde, who departed this life March 19 from
injuries received in the tornado.
The deceased
was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge of DeSoto. He
leaves to mourn his loss a wife and daughter, father and
mother, and the following brothers and sister, Harry Hyde,
Mrs. Maud Williams, both of DeSoto, and Frank Hyde of
Eldridge, Cal., besides a host of relatives and friends.
