Mary
Josephine Johnson was born to Wm. L. and Emma Johnson,
January 6th, 1904, was killed in cyclone March 18,
1925, age 21 years, 2 months and 13 days. She attended
Longfellow School and Murphysboro Township High
School. She united with the Presbyterian church at the
age of 12 years.
On Nov. 18,
1922, she was married to Ardell Spangler. To this
union one child was born, John William who was killed with
his mother in the cyclone. The son's age was 1 year, 5
months, and 7 days. She leaves to mourn her departure
her husband, Ardell Spangler, her father Wm. L Johnson, four
brothers, Manning and Scott Johnson of Murphysboro, Archie
Johnson of Wisconsin and Hagan Johnson of St. Louis; also
one sister, Mrs. Mabel House of St. Louis.
