Edna LePere Services Held Mon. For Edna LePere Ava Resident
Mrs. Edna LePere, 83, life long resident of Ava, passed away Saturday, December 10, at the Community Hospital in Pinckneyville. She has had a lingering illness for some time.
She was a member of the Sato Baptist Church.
Edna LePere was born on August 18, 1883, in Jackson County Illinois, the daughter of Newton (should be Edward Newton) and Viola Stout nee Shannon. She was married to William E. LePere on December 29, 1906 in Jackson County, Illinois.
Besides her husband she is survived by six sons; Eldon S. of Harrington, Washington, Lester, Leland and Willbur all of Chicago, Wendell of Ava and Fred of Monmouth, Illinois; three daughters, Mrs. Lois Gibboney of Falls Church, Virginia, Mrs. Eleanor Edgar of Ava and Mrs. Joyce Reuscher of Vandalia, Illinois; three brothers, George Stout of Murphysboro and Sam and Keith Stout of Ava; three sisters, Mrs. Edith Sherrmann of Vergennes, Illinois, Mrs. Lydia Duff of Centralia and Mrs. Hulda Dillard of North Miami, Florida; 23 grandchldren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
