Herbert R. Lennington

Herbert R. Lennington departed this life, March 18, in the tornado which swept Murphysboro.  He had been ill for two years of hemorrhage of the lungs and was blown away from his home and killed. 

He was born July 6, 1891 at Tamoroa and was at the time of his death 34 years old.  He came to Murphysboro with his parents when 18 months of age and has lived here every since excepting when he served in the US army during the World War.  It was at this time he was gassed and his health has been declining for several years. 

He was united in marriage to Miss Katherine Daruzzi of Murphysboro, December 12, 1919.  He is survived by his wife, father and sister.  The funeral services were held Friday, March 20, and interment was at Tower Grove cemetery.
