John F. LePere

John F. LePere, 96 of Route 1, Ava, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 1980 at the Jackson County Nursding Home in Murphysboro.

He was a retired farmer,a 62-year member of the Dean Lodge 833 AF & AM in Ava, and a member of the Sato Baptist Church near Ava.

Mr. LePere was born on Jan. 29, 1884, in Ora Township, Jackson County to Fred and Mary Williamson LePere.

He married Omma L. Reiman on Dec. 3, 1908 in Ora Township. She preceded him in death on Nov. 16,1979.

Survivors include six nephews, Eldon LePere of Harrington, Wash., Lester, Leland and Wilbur, all of Chicago, and Wendell and Fred, both of Ava; three nieces, Lois Gibboney of Alexandria, Virg., Eleanor Edgar of Ava, and Joyce Reuscher of Vandalia.

One brother and two sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home in Ava, with burieal in the Evergree Cemetery in Ava.

Friends may call after 4p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
