Bertha E. Stephens

Funeral services will be at 1p.m. Thursday at the Wilson Funeral Home in Ava for Bertha E. Stephens, 90, of  Willisville, who died Tuesday, April 26, 1977, at St. Ann's Health Center in Chester, after a long illness.

She was born in Ora Township, Jackson County, on Nov. 16, 1886, to Fred and Mary Williamson LePere.

She was married Jan. 25, 1910, in Murphysboro, to Augustus Stephens, who died April 20, 1962.

She is survived by a brother, John F. LePere, of the Jackson County Nursing Home in Murphysboro.

Friends may call after 2:30p.m. today at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Ava Evergreen Cemetery.
