David Stearns

David Stearns , aged 80 years, died at his home at Boskeydell at 12:40 o'clock Sunday night.  The funeral will be held at the Baptist Church at Boskeydell at 1:00 Thursday afternoon. Rev. Blythe, pastor of the church officiating.  Burial at the cemetery near Boskeydell.

Mr. Stearns was born in Union County Dec 21, 18 41.  More than forty years ago he located Jackson Co,  and for the past 3 years has lived in Boskeydell. He suffered a stroke of apoplexy 10 months ago, and since that time has been confined to his bed.

Mr. Stearns united with the Rock Springs Baptist Church 48 years ago, and has since lead a consistent Christian life.

 Deceased is survived by his wife and six children as follows: Mrs.  Emma O' Daniel of Boskeydell, Mrs. Alice Robinson , James Stearns and Mrs. Julia Fligor of Boskeydell; Mrs. Hattie Fligor of  Boskeydell, and James Stearns of Carbondale . One sister, Mrs. Harriett Mighell , of Buncombe, and one half brother, William Stearns of Murphysboro, near Boskeydell also survives.

 Mr. Steams leaves 35 grand children and 21 great grand children.
