CLAUDE TURMAN

Funeral services for Claude Turman, 51,
carpenter contractor and aeronautics instructor, who died
following a heart attack Monday night, will be held
Thursday at 10 a.m. in Barnes Chapel. The body will
be taken to Murphysboro for burial.
Mr. Turman, who had not been ill,
suffered the attack Monday about 7 p.m. after playing ball
with his son. He died shortly after being taken to
Christian Welfare hospital.
Dr. C. C. Kane announced an inquiry
would be made later.
A licensed pilot for several years, Mr.
Turman became interested in Lakeside airport when he did
construction work there and became an instructor three
years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Juanita
Kiel Turman; a son, Jack, at home; two daughters, Mrs.
Lorena and Mrs. Ruth Brown, both of San Diego; and his
mother, Mrs. Etta Daley.
