- Myrtie McIlwain, nee Gosnell, vs Wm. McIlwain, cruelty; married Oct. 25, 1897
at Rose Hill.
- Carrie Wickham, nee Robins, vs A. B. Wickham, cruelty; custody of Eula, a little
girl, and possibly children of the future, given mother.
- Charles H. Utterback, vs, Mary Utterback, nee Jones, desertion; son Archie is
with mother in Nebraska, where parents were married in Nov.5, 1891
- Belle Hawn, vs Ira Hawn, desertion; married Jan. 5, 1899; two children, Della
and Lettie awarded to mother.
- Nancy Gerhart vs John Gerhart, desertion.
- Etta Kelly, nee Johnson, vs James M. Kelly, desertion; custody of Joy, a little
girl, given to mother.
- Louisa Swick, nee Lafayette, vs W. E. Swick, desertion.
- Edith Tronsdale, nee Chapman, vs Charles Tronsdale, desertation; married in Rose
Hill, July 10, 1900.
- Alice Adams, nee Wall, vs John Adams, desertion; child Anna stays with mother.
- Bertha Wright, vs Frank Wright, both colored, desertion; married at Mattoon,
July 11, 1901.
- Mary J. Odell vs Adrian V. Odell, divorce granted and name of plaintiff changed
to Gettinger; desertion alleged; married in Olney in March, 1899
- Sarah B. Sires vs James H. Sires, divorce granted for adultry with Lennie McDonald,
of Clay County. Four children, Irvan, Flossie, Burleigh and Bessie, two of them minors, remain with the mother;
married at Clymer Station, Ind., in 1873.
- William T. Land vs Sarah V. Land, divorce granted and custody of children, Velva
and Harry awarded to father; Charles Baker named as correspondent; married in 1891 and lived in Crooked Creek.
- J.W. Arehart vs Jennie Arehart, divorce granted; desertion; married in 1882 and
resided in Willow Hill; they have two children, Lola and Earl.

- Abe L. MacHatton vs Nellie B. MacHatton

Newton Press, April 22, 1927:
The common law docket was completed, Tuesday. Divorces granted were:
- Daisy Hooker from John Hooker. She was granted custody of the children
- Roy C. Dickey from Florence E. Dickey. He was granted custody of the children.
- James W. Chapman from Etta Mae Chapman
- Pearl Leckner from Ernest Leckner. Her maiden name of Fillinger was restored.
- Beulah Brackett from Clay Brackett. Her maiden name of Thompson was restored.
- Angie Wagner from Cecil Wagner. She was granted custody of the children
- Hattie Wycoff from Ralph Wycoff.
- Charles Dieterle from Mary F. Dieterle.

Divorces Granted:
- Emma C. Brooks from Thomas J. Brooks, desertion. Maiden name of Cummins restored.
- Nellie Ball from Tracy Ball
- Della Pittman from Frank Pittman, because defendants had been convicted of a
felony
